Us "West coasters" often refer to our side of the US as the "Left Coast" ("Left coast is the best coast, yo!") And even though I'm land-locked right now (about 5 hours for me to get to the left coast) I still consider it my favorite place to be. And I know I'm going to retire there someday. When I get to missing it too much, I can pull out my brushes and paints in those colors that call to me and paint up a little memory. I can almost feel the Pacific breeze, hear the gulls and smell the salty tang.

Lots of landscapes on tap lately. Always inspired by our valley and it's surrounding vistas. I might sometimes lose the mojo when creating, but I can honestly say it's not for lack of interesting views.
I've been a busy girl around here with my colors and paints and papers. What that means is there is lots of new stuff available. I've started selling my originals at DailyPaintworks.com. They offer an online auction so there is a chance at getting handmade fine art at very reasonable prices. And there is always a "Buy it Now" price if you don't want to risk losing it to someone else.
My prints and home decor are available at FineArtAmerica.com and Society6.com. Both sites have different pricing structures (partially out of my control as is the norm for print on demand providers) so please check both locations if you're wanting to find the best price for a particular size or material it's printed on. They both offer framing as well for the prints, as well as canvas, aluminum, fabric, etc, for lots of choices. I have personally purchased my own art and other artists as well from both locations and can attest to the quality. It's wonderful!
For those of you asking recently, all my purchase links can always be found in the upper right corner of this website and blog under the "PURCHASING" drop down. A quick place to go to find all your options.
Had a wonderful comment on some of my recent floral watercolors at FineArtAmerica.com. Was told I had a "beautiful and whimsical style" and I thought "what an awesome thing to hear about myself." Whimsical: playfully quaint or fanciful, especially in an appealing and amusing way. I like that my work makes me smile and I hope it does you too. So, if whimsy it is, I'll take it!
Can you feel the change of seasons? It's subtle because it's still warm outside, but the mornings are a little crisper, the nights a little longer and everyone seems to be holding on to the last of summer just as long as they can. I started hiking my favorite hills again, now that it's cooler. Also, I was trying to get over plantar fasciitis and used it as a reason to take the summer, and it's heat, off. So far so good, my heels aren't bothering me TOO MUCH. Enjoyed painting this weekend as well, ending up going in several different directions, which suits me just fine.
